VP Pun’s Bijaya Dashami message

Kathmandu, Oct 11: Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has extended his greetings and wishes for national prosperity and happiness, peace and prosperity to all the Nepali brothers and sisters in the country and abroad on the occasion of the Bijyaya Dashami festial 2073 BS.

In a message on the occasion today, VP Pun said that the stunning natural beauty and the unique cultures, traditions and festivals of Nepal had further adorned the country that comprises various castes, ethnicities, multiple languages and geographical diversity.

Stating that the new constitution that institutionalizes secularism, respects the free of religion and grants cultural freedom to all the communities in Nepal, Pun argued that all the festivals alike Bijaya Dashami were common national assets.

The VP in the message expressed his displeasure over the slow pace of the constitution implementation process. He noted, “We had observed Bijaya Dashami last year following the promulgation of the new constitution. Although we are in the second year of the promulgation of the new national statute, the constitution implementation process has not picked its pace.”

VP Pun also expressed wish that the festival would encourage one and all to for resolution of differences over the implementation of the new national charter through dialogue and consensus. RSS
